My vacations so far

My family and I have only taken two vacations thus far. We have three children, so money for a vacation was not much of a priority in the past. We started to really want a vacation and so with our tax income check we paid in advance for everything. We used a travel agent and told her what we wanted, that first year we wanted fun for the kids, it being their first vacation as well. We went to Santa Clause Indiana, we stayed in a RV and went to Holiday World and Splashing Safari. Amusement parks have never been my favorite thing, but we had a ball. So, last year we decided to go to Tennessee and to Dolly Wood. We paid in advance and Stayed in a cabin, it was beautiful. We enjoyed the cabin and the mountain views but did not have as much fun at the amusement park. This year we are going to Michigan, staying in a cabin again, I don't think I'll every be happy staying in anything less then a cabin again. The Tennessee cabin spoiled us in that regard. This years vacation is Mine.No amusement park to wonder endlessly through.The cabin is right on the water and we get a boat, I'm very excited about this vacation. There will still be fun and there is the water that the Tennessee and Indiana vacations lacked. We paid for this vacation in advance and got such a discount that we'll be able to have more then double the spending money then we ever had. We plan to fish and hike and we can take our four wheelers to play with, there are lots of trails for them. We can rent a motor for the boat so, we plan on pulling the kids behind it in tubes and I can't wait to teach them to fish. Relaxing on the lake sure sounds better then running around some park. |
